The purpose of this policy is to establish a clear and transparent framework for the return and refund of money for reservations or insurance deposits made by credit card at Cool Rides – Rent a Car. Our company is committed to ensuring customer satisfaction and complying with applicable returns and refund regulations and standards.


  1. The return of a vehicle will be accepted within 24 hours after the vehicle has been picked up on the date stipulated in the contract, provided it is due to force majeure (illness, death of a family member, legal problems).
  2. The vehicle must be in the same condition in which it was delivered, if it does not comply with this requirement, you will be charged for all damages.
  3. Valid proof of reservation, such as a credit card ticket, will be required.
  4. The security deposit will be refunded upon termination of the vehicle rental contract within 3 to 7 business days.

Return Procedure

  1. The customer must notify our office for the return of the vehicle at least 1 hour before going to where the vehicle was delivered to start the process.
  2. Our staff will provide you with instructions and the necessary return form to complete the process.
  3. If the vehicle is returned to a different location, the customer shall be responsible for the costs of the transfer or transportation to the corresponding location.

Refund or Reimbursement of Money

  1. A refund of the corresponding amount of the reservation, including taxes and other applicable charges will be made within 3 to 10 working days after receiving the vehicle and verifying its condition.
  2. The refund will be made using the same payment method used for the reservation. If this is not possible, other refund options will be provided to the client.

Exceptions for Reimbursements or Refunds

  1. If a client cancels the reservation up to 24 hours prior to the pick-up date/time, a fee of $50.00 (US dollars) will be charged.
  2. If a client cancels the reservation within 24 hours prior to the pick-up date/time, a fee of $150.00 (U.S. dollars) will be charged.
  3. If a customer does not cancel the reservation and does not pick up the vehicle, there will be no refund of any kind.
  4. If a client returns and wants to terminate his rental early for fewer days than originally booked in the contract, NO money will be refunded.
  5. For customers who modify their Prepaid reservation BEFORE picking up the vehicle and the rate is lower than the current Prepaid rate, the refund will be processed at the time of modification, and not at the time of return of the vehicle.
  6.  The customer will receive the difference within 3 to 10 business days from the date of the change.
